Caring for the environment

Ever since the start of ZLAMP®, we have been thinking as environmentally friendly as possible.

The shades for our lamps are made of polypropylene plastic, which when burned only becomes water and carbon dioxide. The glue we use is water-based and the paper contains no harmful color pigments. The same applies to the Swedish-made textiles from Almedahls AB, which are also free of flame retardants.

Most of the wood we use for our lamp stands has grown in Sweden, which among other things minimizes freight.
We surface-treat our wooden stands in Anderslöv with a durable floor varnish solution, colored with organic pigments developed in collaboration with Av Jord AB.

The metals in our lamp stands are steel, cast iron, bronze and brass. We do not have any chrome details in our models. When painting the metal stands, we use powder coating extensively and in the few cases where this is not possible, clear coating with only black pigment is used - no other colors are used. Powder coating is a dry painting method where no solvents are used. The details are heated and the pigment is directed to the detail by electrostatics. No volatile organic compounds or heavy metals are produced. The degree of utilization is high because a powder recycling system is connected. The four pigments we use are completely pure according to the existing restriction and observation lists.

The cast iron footplates for Peak and Rebecca are oil-fired in Ronneby. Oil-fired with KRAV rapeseed oil from Karlshamn. The mill is also praised for its environmental measures in the form of recycling air particles, no mineral oil or linseed oil and no other additives.

All packaging and interior materials we use for packaging are made of brown corrugated cardboard. Newspapers and recycled packaging are also used in our goods handling.

Of course, we sort our corrugated cardboard, paper, plastic, metal and electrical scrap. In addition, we take full producer responsibility by being affiliated with the REPA register and El-Kretsen.
